Ok,

Brennan and I have been very busy with school and life, and guessed that alot of our members were in the same position.

And seeing as today is the due date for the pack and we only have 2 submissions (Thanks *vissroid & *AP123 ) I guess we were right.

So, if we give you another week do you think you'd be able to finish your pack submission?

Even if you can't get it totally finished by then post what you have done as a scrap or something so we can have a preview on the pack image, and we can link to the finished piece when you're done.

Anyway, hopefully we can get this pack completed

Ok, time is up for all of the members who did not sign in. They will have to reapply to join if they ever decide they want to in the future.

As for everyone else, time for a new beginning and a new pack!

Brennan and I have been talking about this, trying to think of how we can make this pack more appealing. The last 2 packs never got completed, so we really need to break this streak and get some work produced!




Pack subject: Galaxies
Due date: 20th of March - That gives you 2 weeks to work your magic.




What we would like is for everyone to make a piece for the pack, to introduce the "new" spaceartists. Try your hardest! We know galaxies are quite to get right, but we are
meant to be the best of the best, so just look at it as a challenge!

Anyone who knows that they won't be able to make something for this pack should leave a comment, on this journal or send us a note, saying why you cant contribute.
Otherwise we expect a piece from everyone, and we will be very annoyed at those who fail to do so!

Anyway, good luck! We really hope we can get things moving again, and we can't do anything unless the members are contributing to the group projects.

Ok, *sumopiggy here.
*d1git and ~atd have passed leadership of SpaceArtists to *genocide-54 and I.
We would like to thank the two of you for the excellent job you've done in forming this group into what it is today!


Now, this group seriously needs some organising, lately our activity has been extremely low and now seems to be a good time to do something about that.

So, here’s what we’re proposing:

- All existing members will need to comment on this journal, stating that they would still like to be a member of SpaceArtists. Why? We need active members! Anyone who is not contributing to the group is just dragging us down.

- We will no longer be Invite-only. A page will be added to the website soon where anyone can apply to join Space Artists.
We will assign 1 or 2 admin members to read through the applications, maybe once a week. They will forward any applicants who they approve of to either *genocide-54 or I and we will make the final decision.
This will give all of the budding space artists out there a chance to join our group. SpaceArtists will therefore grow and, with more talented artists, will continue to push the boundaries of space art.

- Packs. We will have strict guidelines, with maybe a 1-day leeway for late entries, so our art packs get completed on time. We understand that sometimes members will be unable to make a piece for our packs. If you know you wont be able to then please notify us, otherwise we expect EVERYONE to contribute. Please don’t opt out just because you don’t feel like making something. The group needs you!


Stay tuned. As the group starts going again we will be making more announcements.
Remember, existing members, comment here if you still want to be a part of this group, and think you can contribute!

A sad day has come.

Due to financial problems, I [*d1git] think I will be without internet within the next few days.

~atd has decided that he has too many other things to deal with, which he does, to be able to lead spaceartists solely, and has decided to resign as leader.

I wish I could stay around, but without internet my chances of being a good leader are slim to none. Which is why I have made this journal entry.

We need YOUR help! If anyone is willing to step up and take on the position as leader, let me know via this journal, a note to *d1git, or by contacting me on AIM via the sn undiv1dual. If no one is up to the challenge, spaceartists will have to pass on as a memory, and a good one at that.

It's been a good journey so far, I hope it continues.

SpaceArtists Pack III is being started anew, due to the general disorganization of the previous attempt.

As with the first attempt, the theme for this pack is Unthemed. You can create whatever you like, as long as it pertains to space, of course. We are sure you'll all create something beautiful and fantastic. Get working!

The deadline for this pack has been set as January 30th, 2005. More updates will follow as necessary.


The SpaceArtists website is progressing nicely! We have approximately 60 registered users, and still growing! We don't want to be wasting space, so please, everyone get over there and register, especially members of SpaceArtists!
